1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp black pepper

1 lb hot cooked spaghetti noodles
1 cup chopped green onions

I'm deployed right now, but the DFAC Yakisoba has always been a favorite from when I was dorm rat. Looking forward to making this when I return to home station.

Yeah, there's nothing I enjoy more than when they bring out Hamburger Yakisoba to the COB. It's a nice change of pace from grilled chicken all the time.

If the Army only did a few things right their Yakisoba recipe was one that they got right. Lol. You are going to be a hero in my house and I'm sure many others. Thanks a million!!!!! And thanks for the family size break-down of the recipe so I won't have to wing it. LOL. Your the Best!!!

Made this last night and it brought back memories of the dfac. I HIGHLY recommend seasoning the meat with some salt and pepper before adding the veggies otherwise it will be very bland

I have been making it from memory and it just didn't taste exactly right. Seems I forgot the ginger. Thanks so much from and old Army cookie!

I have missed this ever since my family left SHAPE in 2006. The whole family was always happy to eat at the DFAC when they served this.

Thanks for this recipe! This was my favorite dish at the chow hall during my enlistment. About 7 years ago I downloaded a PDF of the recipes from the Army Quartermaster website and scaled it down myself but I've since lost that, this is easier measurements thatn what I came up with, and came out exactly like I remember.

I remember being in the line at DFAC on days when steak and seafood was also available and saying "Just the yakisoba please" to the server. I left out the ginger when I made it from memory also. Thank you.

I've always loved this recipe. The dfac doesn't offer many great meals outside of breakfast, but this one is always worth the trip. I just used your recipe tonight and it was a hit as always. Thanks for sharing.
